Hey Gals,

Exciting happenings have been occurring here at Goldsmiths W.I. headquarters -

We recently had author Jane Robinson come interview the committee for her forthcoming book, A Force To Be Reckoned With: A History of the W.I. , 'the first full, independent history of the Women’s Institute'.

We had a visit from Health Poverty Action concerning their 'Mothers on the Margins' campaign, which works with indigenous communities and other cultural minorities around the world to improve the health of pregnant women and mothers.

Sofia also had an owl-themed house party and we all had a hoot of a time in our home-made hybrid woodland creature/owl costumes.

Lastly, on Thursday Jess hosted the first of our fortnightly Crafternoons! She's going post more about it later, but get yourself on the facebook group and come to the next meet for more adventures in crafting - upcoming projects include more knitting, bunting, tie dyeing, and quilting!

The next Crafternoon will be on the 3rd of March, so get you knitting needles ready! x
