DIAS DE LOS MUERTOS

EDIT: The meeting place for the Walking With Dinosaurs trip on Monday the 24th has been changed to New Cross GATE Station!

Ola, chicas!

We're currently in the middle of putting together a zine for our table at
the South East London Zine Fest (Saturday, 12th November, 12-6 at the
Amersham Arms!) and we're looking for sub
missions! We're especially
interested in any articles/illustrations of the sassy lady-crafty-SE london
related variety, but we're open to most everything! Hit us up via
facebook/email/twitter, and we'll make su
re to get back to you.

We were in the middle of discussing our fave SE London sights for one of
the features, when we hit on the Dinosaur Court at Crystal Palace Park. When
we realised that most of us hadn't been for an age and fancied a trip, we
thought we'd use it as an opportunity for anyone who hasn't been/loves
dinosaurs to come on a mini W.I. adventure with us on, and have a
cup/thermos of tea and hopefully some dinosaur shaped biscuits. We'll be
meeting at New Cross station on Monday the 24th of October at 3pm, and
travelling to the park from there!

Our next 'official' meeting falls on Monday, 7th of November, and as it's
following Mexican Day of the Dead, we thought we’d have a belated
celebration! We’ll be making sugar skulls, having a go at matching sugar
skull face paint, and crafting Frida Kahlo-esque floral headbands with
Mexican treats on hand all the while. This’ll all be occurring from 6pm in
the upstairs space at the Amersham Arms. It'll be £1 to take part, but free
for W.I. members (and for anyone who signs up on the day)! We've posted all
of the events up on the facebook group, so feel free to go join the group
and RSVP.

PS- we'll be sure to put up photos from our recent TEA N' NAILZ nail art event real soon!

BUNTING 2.0

The Goldsmiths WI once again invite you to come picnic and make bunting in the park!

We've got a bag of fabric scraps, but please bring extra materials, a needle and thread, and some tasty treats. If you have a spare boombox we can blast The Andrews Sisters/ TLC on, that'd be fab too.
